Using a Stylus with Jotit

Jotit works with a variety of styluses, but the stylus you need depends on the device you are using.

There is not one stylus that works with every Chromebook, Android tablet, or iPad. Before purchasing or using a stylus, it is important to confirm that it is compatible with your specific device.

Which Stylus Do I Need?

Your device determines which type of stylus is compatible.

For example:

• Chromebooks: Stylus compatibility varies by Chromebook model. Some Chromebooks support USI styluses, while others may use a different type of stylus or may not support an active stylus at all.

• Android tablets: Compatibility depends on the tablet manufacturer and model.

• iPads: Compatible styluses depend on the iPad model. Different iPads support different generations or models of Apple Pencil.

Before Purchasing a Stylus

Always check the specifications for your exact device model before purchasing a stylus.

Knowing that you have a Chromebook, Samsung tablet, Lenovo tablet, or iPad is not always enough. Two devices from the same manufacturer may support completely different styluses.

1. The exact make and model of your device

2. Whether the device supports an active stylus

3. Which stylus standard or model the manufacturer recommends

A stylus being Bluetooth-enabled, rechargeable, or advertised as working with tablets does not automatically mean it will work properly with your device.
