Mastering the Select Tool

1. Open the Select tool 0:00

• The Select tool is the first tool in the toolbar.

• Click it to access the different selection options.

2. Use Area Select to select items in a box 0:08

• Choose Area Select.

• Drag a square or rectangle around the content you want to select.

• If you select handwriting or text, you can:

  • Move it around the page

  • Change its color

  • Change its thickness

  • Send it to the front or back of other items on the page

3. Use Lasso Select for irregular or multiple items 0:47

• Choose Lasso Select.

• Draw around items that are not next to each other.

• You can also use it to select just one item.

• After selecting, you can:

  • Resize it

  • Change its color

  • Click away when finished

4. Use Screen Capture to copy content into your notebook 1:11

• Choose the Screen Capture option under Select.

• Open the material you want to capture in a split-screen view.

• Use your stylus to outline the exact area you want to copy.

• This creates a capture you can paste into your notebook.

• In your notebook, click the Paste option (clipboard icon).

• Place the captured image anywhere on the page.

• Resize it as needed.

6. Edit pasted content with the Select tool 2:07

• Use the Select tool again to grab the pasted image.

• Move it around the page.

• Send it behind writing if needed.

• Continue adjusting it just like other editable items.

7. Understand that notebook content stays editable 2:31

• Anything you write on the page remains fluid and editable.

• The Select tool lets you keep adjusting content after it has been added to the page.
