Any assignment you create in Google Classroom automatically appears in Jotit for your students. Below are two common assignment types you'll use with Jotit: uploading a PDF for students to annotate and creating a blank assignment for digital notebook submissions.

  1. Navigate to Classwork and verify the appropriate topic already exists.

  2. Select Create > Assignment.

  3. Enter an assignment title and any instructions for students.

  4. Attach the PDF students will complete.

  5. Change the file permission to Make a copy for each student.

  6. Add a due date and assign the assignment to the appropriate topic.

  7. Review the assignment details, then click Assign.

Important: Always choose Make a copy for each student so every student receives their own editable copy of the PDF.

  1. Navigate to Classwork and verify the appropriate topic already exists.

  2. Select Create > Assignment.

  3. Enter an assignment title and include instructions describing what students should submit from their Jotit digital notebook or other materials.

  4. Do not attach any files unless one is required.

  5. Add a due date and assign the assignment to the appropriate topic.

  6. Review the assignment details, then click Assign.

Students will be able to submit pages directly from their Jotit digital notebooks or materials through the Google Classroom assignment.
